Michael Shimberg is the single father of both a young son and daughter. He was born in Tampa, FL and attended Berkley Preparatory School before attending Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA where he received his B.S. degree in finance. After graduation in 1994, Michael worked for Price Waterhouse in New York City. He presently is a certified financial planner at a major national financial institution in Tampa, FL.
As a young boy, Michael served as a water boy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and still remains a loyal fan. He serves on the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation Board and on the Board of the YMCA, enjoys golf, gourmet cooking, and has finally mastered the art of tying his daughter's sashes on her dresses.

Elaine Fantle Shimberg is an award-winning author of twenty books, including BLENDING FAMILIES, LIVING WITH TOURETTE SYNDROME, and ANOTHER CHANCE FOR LOVE, which she co-authored with Sol Gordon, Ph.D.. Her favorite writing topics are health care and family issues.
A popular guest on radio and television, Elaine has appeared on the TODAY show and for five years co-hosted WFLA-TV's "Women's Point of View." She has conducted numerous writing workshops and been a speaker at many medical conferences. She writes for the pediatric Web site www.Kidsgrowth.com.
Elaine is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors as well as the American Medical Writers Association. She and her husband are the parents of five adult children and grandparents to an even dozen grandchildren. They spend their summers in Maine.
